There's something about the feel of the cool aluminum that just feels great. I've handled some P229's with G10's and those felt good too.

For $300-400 less cash I picked up a p228. Its a fantastic pistol, it is essentially the m11-a1 except for the folded steel slide (which may be problematic) for humid climates).The M11-A1 has a pretty stiff factory mainspring. Maxed out the gage (12lbs) part way through the DA pull. It was pretty ridiculous on mine. 18# spring worked with a DA pull around 10.5 lbs but 17 didn't so I'm going with a 19# just to be on the safe side.
